In the summer end of august there is a huge festival called Mystery Land nearby. Also in summer there is Concours Hippique also nearby in the Haarlemmermeerse Bos. Meerlive and Hoofddorp Culinair are also in the summer in the city center. In spring there is Meer Jazz, also in the city center.
